Episode Context

Coming off Episode 21's national vaccination campaign designed to suppress beast transformations, 'Wish' shifts focus to the personal toll these events exact on Jun and Kazumi, exploring what resilience looks like when systemic solutions fail individuals. This is deep into the endgame stretch of the 26-episode run, and the episode functions as critical connective tissue leading into Episode 23, 'Life,' where Jun's role among sympathetic beasts crystallizes and the stakes ratchet up toward the series' conclusion.
