Episode Context

Sitting at the exact halfway mark of the 26-episode run, 'Rope' follows 'Faces,' where Jun wrestled with disturbing visions tied to her dual nature as both human and devil beast. This episode functions as a standalone narrative that broadens the show's thematic scope, exploring how ordinary people become prey to hidden predators, rather than advancing the central plot directly. It deepens the series' recurring meditation on the blurred boundary between humanity and monstrosity, laying psychological groundwork for the darker escalations that define the second half.
