Episode Context

Arriving at the exact halfway mark of the 26-episode run, 'Faces' pivots from Episode 11's mystery-driven disappearances into a more internal, psychological register centered on Jun's deteriorating sense of self. Dr. Bates emerges as a significant figure here, complicating the power dynamics around Jun's transformation. This introspective turn lays essential groundwork for Episode 13, 'Rope,' which introduces new characters and escalates the external pressures Jun faces.
