Despite the unexpected plot twist, this episode is honestly a total slowdown and feels a bit like skippable filler. It trades the usual comedy for a quiet, moody vibe. The pacing is pretty slow.
Acieth constantly being in Maou’s head is lowkey so funny😭 andd I lovedd seeing the brief setting change where we see Emi coming back to Ente Isla✨ the vibes are immaculate honestly. I always loved medieval settings HAHA. And her missing the convenience of Japan is actually gold😭 although, I do really wish the gang back in Japan could speed it up with the planning and do some action already, cause it’s getting quite stretched out here
There’s a lot of talking and worrying, but no actual actions are taken, which makes the second half of the episode feel boring. It’s not that I only enjoy intense or action-packed moments, but this episode simply didn’t offer much progress to the story other than flashbacks from previous episodes.
