This episode is my favorite so far. Kyotaro finally admits to himself of his feelings and wants to simply support Anna after her nose getting hit. The music and light animation really made the scenes more sad and heartwarming. Can’t wait to see what happens next?

Episode shows emotional growth and awkward humor. Light school interactions reveals meaningful character development. I felt like the genuine relationship between Ichikawa and Yamada.

Watching yamada casually use him as a human shield/prop while she stuffs her face is peak comedy. The library is basically a snack bar at this point.I love how kyo is still trying to maintain his dark and loner side while he’s secretly becoming her personal bodyguard.

Now I am more excited because the pace seems to be perfect, we are getting more into the story. Finally we can see little bit of dangerous side of Kyotaro when it comes to Yamanda safety.

Kyoutarou Ichikawa’s awkward fascination with Anna Yamada continues, blending dark humor with sweet moments. Anna’s clumsiness and kindness make interactions charming, while Kyoutarou slowly reveals a softer side. School life feels real and the episode balances comedy and romance

A calm, character-driven episode that focuses on small interactions and gradual emotional growth. The pacing is steady, blending light humor with subtle tension as the relationship continues to develop in a natural and relatable way.

This is where it clicked for me. It’s still low-key, but the emotions hit way harder than expected awkward, sweet, and painfully relatable.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the quarter mark of a 12-episode season, Episode 3 builds on the foundation Episodes 1 and 2 laid for Kyoutarou's character — his edgy self-image and the cracks Anna is unknowingly putting in it. This installment deepens the emotional stakes before the season moves into its middle stretch, where the relationship dynamics between Kyoutarou and Anna are expected to evolve more dramatically. It functions as a transitional episode, shifting the series' center of gravity from pure comedy setup toward genuine character-driven romance.
