The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows Season 2

Practically anything can be cured in an instant by Zenos, but this genius healer gets kicked out of his adventurer party anyway because they're too dense to notice what he was doing for them. Classic. Instead of chasing after them or moping about it, he sets up an underground clinic in the city's slums — the same slums he grew up in — and starts healing people who actually need it. Turns out, when you're that good at what you do, word travels fast, and soon even the royal palace comes knocking. This TV series is back for its second season, picking up where the first left off. The appeal here is pretty straightforward: Zenos isn't your typical healer who stands in the back and buffs the party. He's self-taught, operates outside the system, and his methods are unconventional enough to keep things interesting. The show leans into that underdog-turned-shadow-operator fantasy without taking itself too seriously — there's real weight to the world-building, but it knows when to lighten up. If you liked The Rising of the Shield Hero's "wrongfully cast out hero proves everyone wrong" setup, or Arifureta's vibe of a rejected protagonist carving out their own path, this hits similar notes. It's got a slightly different flavor though, since Zenos isn't out for revenge — he just wants to heal people on his own terms. Based on the light novel, so there's plenty of source material to draw from.
