EPISODE REVIEWS

Very fast pace episode, I have mixed feelings with MaoMao being with her questionable parents. Overall, it ended up being a short chess match and entire episode dedicated to the backstory. Not bad, but not the best episode either. 7.2/10

Episode Context

Positioned as episode 23 of 24, this is the penultimate chapter and it knows exactly what it needs to do, resolve the lingering tension between Maomao and Lakan that has been building across the entire season. It follows 'Blue Roses,' which highlighted Maomao's analytical brilliance, and pivots sharply into her personal stakes ahead of the season finale, 'Jinshi and Maomao.' This episode functions as the emotional runway for that final landing, deepening the character dynamics that will define how the season closes.
