The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Left to his own devices, Amane Fujimiya would live off convenience store meals and sleep on an unmade futon without a second thought. Mahiru Shiina is the girl everyone at school calls "the Angel" — top grades, effortlessly beautiful, basically untouchable. They happen to live next door to each other, and after Mahiru starts looking after Amane out of genuine concern, something quiet and real starts growing between them. Season one laid the groundwork for that slow, delicate shift from neighbors to something more. This second season picks up where things left off, with their feelings out in the open but the messy reality of actually being together still ahead of them. How do two people from completely different social worlds at school handle that gap when everyone's watching? The appeal here is how grounded it feels. There's no dramatic love triangle or forced misunderstanding dragging things out — just two people learning how to be vulnerable around each other. Project No.9 returns to handle the animation, and if you appreciated the subtle character work in season one, this continues that thread. If you liked the domestic warmth of Horimiya or the slow-burn emotional honesty of Kimi ni Todoke, this hits a similar spot. It also carries that same cozy, lived-in energy as Toradora!, where the best scenes are just two people sitting together, being honest. A gentle romance that earns its moments instead of rushing them.

This Anime slow romance but very good Anime
The first season was amazing, but the second season definitely isn’t any worse. If anything, it might even be better in some ways. There’s a certain confidence in how the story is being told now, like the writers have really settled into the world and the characters. I especially love watching this couple do their thing. Their chemistry feels so natural and effortless that every interaction between them becomes something special. Every single moment they share is simply so good that I can’t help but feel happy along with them. Whether it’s the quiet, tender scenes or the more emotional moments, they always manage to keep me fully invested. I rate this series a 9/10! This is pure honey that is good for your health.
