Synopsis
By the time we meet him, Rentarou Aijou has already been rejected by 100 different girls, and that's not backstory flavor, that's the actual number. After his hundredth rejection, he prays at a matchmaking shrine, and the God of Love shows up to deliver some news: due to a cosmic clerical error, Rentarou is destined to meet 100 soulmates. The catch? If any of them fall for him and he doesn't return their feelings, they die. So now this otherwise normal high school guy has to genuinely love and date 100 girlfriends, starting with two classmates who confess to him on day one. The premise sounds like the most unhinged harem setup ever conceived, and that's because it is, on purpose. This 12-episode TV series from Bibury Animation Studios knows exactly how ridiculous it is and leans all the way in. Every harem trope gets cranked to absurd levels, but what keeps it from being just a parody is that Rentarou actually cares about each girl as an individual. He's not a passive, wishy-washy protagonist stumbling through misunderstandings. He's proactive, earnest, and weirdly competent at juggling multiple relationships, which makes the comedy hit harder. If you liked the chaotic energy of To Love-Ru or the revolving-door romance of Nisekoi but wished either one would just commit to the bit, this is what you're looking for. It's also got that We Never Learn vibe of distinct personality types bouncing off each other, just with way more of them and zero pretense about where it's headed.

I like romance anime
i just love it
I honestly loved this anime so much I watched all of it in 2 days and I can say that it made me laugh. I was so interested in this anime that k watched it till 3 AM two times in a row and honestly I love it. I think this might be one of the best romance anime and don’t get all the hate it gets.

This finale episode puts a close to the arc in the Hanazono residence, tying up loose ends with the usual dose of absurdly sus comedy. There are also some teasers for the potential new members of the Rentaro Family, giving this season a send-off with a feel-good, hopeful vibe.
There’s a good blend of comedy and drama here, with a resolution that leads to satisfying catharsis. The absolute sincerity of the characters and nice voice acting sells the emotions despite the crazy developments. BTW, the special ED/outro is absurdly funny and is a must-watch!
Mission: Start! This episode gives each girl a moment to shine as they start their Hakari rescue quest. The twist at the end is a shocker... Though, honestly? Given the premise, it was only a matter of time before the writers threw a curveball. Rentaro’s rizz is too powerful, lol
The normie bouquet-toss wedding tradition becomes an unhinged competition of love. Then, we get to see a side of Hakari that's a far cry from her usual silly and sussy self. This serious vibe shift is a jarring change that sets up some REAL stakes! What's Rentaro gonna do?
A fun follow-up~ This episode has an unusual amount of tension and it’s entertaining to see the series play around with a theme that you wouldn’t normally associate with a lighthearted high school romance. Kudos to the voice actors for acting as kiss zombies without cracking up!
Kusuri steals the show with her chaotic scientist vibes! The cast is growing, setting up some promising character dynamics. The chemistry theme is fun and the bizarre drug jokes fit the absurd setting nicely. Love that shift in tone near the end. Unexpected survival horror, lol!
The classic swimsuit episode! 100 Kanojo’s take is a bit of a mixed bag: there’s some checkbox-ticking cliches, but also some unique stuff that only work in this over-the-top setting. The surprising callback to Karane’s insecurities and the satisfying payoff is a sweet finish!
The robotic Eiai Nano is a tough nut to crack, but that makes this episode way more interesting: How is Rentaro going to win her over? The contrast between a romantic idealist and a serious realist sets up a lot of great comedic moments and a heart-melting yet efficient ending~
This episode experiments with new character dynamics, and of course Rentaro cooks up a plan that leads to awkward and wholesome moments. The quick setup of misunderstandings and the swift resolution is refreshing. It’s the right amount of drama that doesn't overstay its welcome~
An elite meet-cute in the library! The fantasy/royalty theme makes this episode a nice departure from the first two. I love how the unique way they communicate in this episode leads to a really cute and wholesome payoff. A great introduction for a new character!
The ‘contest’ between the two girls is hilarious! It’s a crazy speedrun of every food-related romance trope. Some of the jokes are annoyingly repetitive, but the ridiculous setups, out-of-pocket punchlines, and a surprisingly sweet resolution make up for the cliches.
This episode is excellently paced: jumps straight into the story without any fluff. It’s tropey yet self-aware, with references that will get a chuckle out of seasoned anime fans. The art and voice acting are top-tier too. Rentaro's love quest is defo gonna be a wild ride, lol!
