This episode was a great follow-up to the first, further expanding on the system and world introduced there. The stylized animation when Rimuru talks to his skill system is always great to see. Now we are getting started on the main plot hinted at by Rimuru's actions with Veldora, which we can expect to see in later episodes. The new cast of characters is great, and hopefully, we will see more of them in the upcoming episodes. This is a great second episode.

Episode Context

Coming off the premiere's isekai setup and ability acquisition, episode 2 pivots Rimuru from solo explorer to potential leader, a role that defines the entire first season. This is the first domino in what becomes Slime's central nation-building arc, directly setting up the goblin village defense and alliance that drives the next several episodes.
