The best:

Masayuki shines as a comedic character. His knack for unintentionally accumulating fame remains one of the funniest elements of the series.

Great chemistry between Rimuru and Masayuki. Their interaction makes it clear that neither is truly seeking conflict.

Excellent handling of misunderstandings. The episode constantly plays with the difference between public perception and reality.

Setting up for the final arc. Tensions are resolved, and important relationships for the future are established.

The worst: There's no major fight. The title might suggest an epic showdown, but the conflict is much more diplomatic and humorous.

A lot of dialogue. It follows the trend of the third season, focusing on conversations and politics.

My opinion:

This is one of the episodes where Tensura proves it doesn't need to rely exclusively on battles. The relationship between Rimuru and Masayuki is entertaining because they both quickly grasp the true situation behind the "Hero's" public image. Furthermore, the episode helps tie up several loose ends before the opening of the labyrinth and the season's final events.

Final verdict: A fun episode with good character development and some of the best comedic moments of the season. 8.5/10.

This was way too hilarious. The arena fight turned more comedic than action-packed, but honestly, I probably should’ve expected that from the way things were building up.

Masayuki vs. Gobta in the finals? Lmfao, that was chaotic. Still, I’d really love to see Gobta’s growth after training with Milim—it feels like there’s potential there.

Why did I expect a full-blown fight from these finalists? 😭 It ended up being funny as hell. Still, it made me curious about how Gobta will improve after whatever training awaits him.

the emotional beats actually landed for me this time around, really enjoyed how they handled it just wish it was a bit longer but overall a really solid ep.

the character resolutions function appropriately, but the execution of the conflict feels noticeably compressed and rushed although the action was decent this time.

Their alliance also feels surprisingly smart. It’s not about strength or trust in the traditional sense, but about turning unpredictability into something useful. That’s very Rimuru xD using chaos instead of fighting it.

Instead of the myth, we finally see the person and it makes the whole dynamic more interesting.

I'm gonna ignore what happened in the ending here. The talk with Dwargon and Elmesia was very productive. Gobta and my big strong boy Ranga was unexpected tho! Can't wait to see more of them in action together

As much as the start of Masayuki arc was ridiculous to begin with, the closing was expected to be as underwhelming as this. The best part of this episode was Gobta and Ranga uuurgh

The conclusion between Masayuki and Rimuru was. Less interesting than I thought it would be. Both are down-to-earth and can see eye-to-eye, so their mutual respect and friendship will be beneficial in the long run! Especially with Rimuru's new project and all

Gobta becoming Milim's trainee was really unexpected! He gives so much underdog vibes and has tons of potential as one of the longest standing companions of Rimuru. The fight with the hero and him was underwhelming! All the traction with Ranga just for him to miss,,

This episode goes back down the meeting room route for the first part, and showcases Rimuru strengthening political relations yet again. With the elf empress and him on friendly terms, his social power rises again!

Misunderstanding that get settled and foreshadowing of training arcs. The fight wasn't what I expected but seems about right for the Lightspeed Hero. The twist was entertaining to watch and the meetings were engaging.

We start by revisiting the merchant issue, this payoff should be good. Big names only, so the discussions get heavy. Then we head to the main event… and wow, that was awkward. Something about that meeting feels important for the future.

Lol Rimuru avoiding favors from Elmesia makes sense, she’s too fierce 😂 Loved how she kept teasing Gazel. Rimuru really is more easygoing than other rulers. Pacing and animation were on point, smooth episode.

Gazel and Elmesia helping Rimuru is such a nice scene and kinda funny. Great world-building in here. And the tournament outcome is expected, but some of us are not happy about it. But that's how the story flows.
