This was a slice-of-life, lighthearted episode focused on festival preparations. There wasn’t much conflict, but it laid out plans clearly and showed Rimuru scheming with Mjollmile again, lol.

Another dialogue-driven episode, but it wasn’t boring at all. It focused on world-building while mixing in some hilarious moments, which kept it entertaining from start to finish.

Now we’re getting into planning for the festival. Nothing major happened, but it focused on expanding the world and Rimuru scheming for business profit again, which was still fun to watch.

Episode Context

Sitting at the exact halfway mark of the 24-episode season, 'The Preparation' pivots away from the diplomatic reconciliation and peace negotiations that dominated the preceding episodes, shifting the narrative firmly into nation-building and cultural celebration territory. This episode serves as a transitional bridge, consolidating the alliances forged through earlier political maneuvering while setting the stage for the festival arc that will likely drive the next stretch of episodes, and any complications that come with it.
