Terror in Resonance
Oshimeter
Synopsis
After breaking into a nuclear facility and walking out with stolen plutonium, two teenagers enroll in a Tokyo high school like nothing happened. Six months later, they post a cryptic video online under the name 'Sphinx,' challenging the police with riddles that point to bombings across the city. That's the setup for Zankyou no Terror, an 11-episode TV series from 2014 that plays out like a chess match between young terrorists with a hidden agenda and Shibazaki, a washed-up detective sharp enough to actually follow their breadcrumbs. Caught in the middle is Lisa, a lonely classmate who stumbles into their world and can't walk away. The thing that sets this apart is the atmosphere. Directed by Shinichirō Watanabe of Cowboy Bebop fame, with a haunting Yoko Kanno soundtrack full of Icelandic vocals, the show feels cold and deliberate in the best way. It's not interested in explosions for spectacle, but it wants you asking why these kids are doing this, and the answer matters. If you liked the cat-and-mouse tension of Death Note but wanted something grounded and more emotionally raw, this lands in that space. Fans of Psycho-Pass will recognize the social commentary woven through the mystery. It's short, it's tight, and it doesn't waste a single episode getting where it needs to go. MAPPA produced it, and visually it still holds up really well.

This anime is excellent, with plenty of twists and an incredible mind-blowing ending. If you enjoy mystery thrillers, this is a fantastic anime that will keep you thinking about it long after you've finished watching.
Man, what a way to start off a series! The opening moments completely hooked me in. The animation is absolutely breathtaking right from the beginning. Everything moves so fluidly and the pacing just does not let up at all. It sets a really dark and mysterious vibe that I am totally here for. The music perfectly elevates the whole experience.
A beautiful ending to an amazing anime. It was really heartbreaking and reliving at the same time. They are not really the good guys and probably deserved it but at least they achieved what they wanted and more. 10/10 to recommend.
Roller Coaster ride so far! A lot has happened and this is the first time Sphinx has gone public and speak. I couldn't imagine them doing it withing Twelve
A lot of story building on this episode, Confirms all the details about the hidden project that the government had worked on and experimented. Wanted to see what will come next.
So sad to see Lisa on this episode, it's like the whole world is against her. I wish the two can somehow talk to her and relive some pain that she has gone thru in a short period of time when with them.
The antagonist is awesome! Very unpredictable. Nine and Twelve cant understand what she was thinking and at the same time she is ahead of everything. Awesome character creation on the author.
No words to describe this episode! Both are competing to outsmart the other. Five and Nine had a lot in the past. Both genius on their own right.
Just like deathnote, Light was not the only bright person in the game. Another one comes in and she looks fab.
Awesome episode. Roller Coaster ride of emotions from Lisa! Didn't expect what happened in the end of the episode. Shibazaki needs to step up his game after this and be more proactive to the police.
Shibazaki was brilliant in this episode. I hate riddles and so I dont expect my self solving it but this man was smart and it is an understatement. Lot of world building thru characters history as well.
Mind Bender! I hate riddles tho but it was executed here perfectly. I also never expected that the clues are those things. Author made a lot of effort and love into it.
Great Episode 1, Will keep you on the loop and wonder a lot of whys. World Building is really awesome , TBH I actually thought about doing the same thing when I was the same age. Just kidding.
Episod yang penuh dengan perasaan. Sedih, marah, gembira.
That bomb is the result of rage, loneliness, madness, a vengeance. Its like a scream of those children for how many years of sentence to silence. Its heartbreaking, and really painful to watch. A scream of hope and justice, I like how things are ended, its true, pure, not hidden
Direct dari episod lepas, bersambung adegan. Lebih kepada nak gerakkan plot sahaja. Biasa2 episod ni, tapi takda yang teruk.
This is a great, chaotic, traumatic, very deep ep. It shows the trauma of this 3 children had experience that push them to do this unthinkable things. I love the high stakes scene, the do or die moments. The sacrifices, and heavy baggage that becomes through people and time.
