Synopsis

The Teppen Grand Prix is a competition established out of an appreciation for stand-up comedy. As devoted fans of such performances, Yayoi Sakamoto and her two friends—Yomogi Takahashi and Yuzu Hosono—form the stand-up trio Young Wai-Wai. After qualifying for the final round in the prix, the three go up against other comedic trios, but only one group can emerge victorious. With participants housed in a famous dorm where many comedians before them have lodged, the contestants' time living at the establishment will give them a chance to prove they have what it takes to make their audience laugh until they cry!

I really love the emotions that I have felt this episode. I am so proud of Young Wai-Wai here. The animation here really gives the three main girls their most expressive moments yet. Honestly for me, I didn't care anymore about the Grand Prix itself, I just genuinely wish for all the girls to have fun here and do their best. I am so proud for everything they have been through and it made me feel warm with the image of everyone from Takako-so coming together.

This was a really interesting episode ngl, also the way they used the bus journey as the setting for the comedy that turns into something stranger was smart and unexpected. The three Shinryakusha members' very different personalities bounce off each other in here. For me, this is honestly a very nerdy episode with the urban legend discussions and all that but their conversations were really ridiculous, its like watching conspiracy theorists talking with each other lol.

Well, it's a "kind of everything works out in the end" type of episode. I didn't really like this anime because the sheer amount of nonsensical things happening was too much, and there were so many unrelated episodes that when they tried to tie everything together for the finale, I personally didn't feel any emotion or connection with the characters. It's a shame because the first few episodes actually made me laugh, but then it went downhill. At least it helped me learn a bit about manzai .
