Tripping down stairs, accidentally causing classroom explosions, the whole deal — that's everyday life for Amano Sakogami, the unluckiest girl alive. Turns out her misfortune isn't random; she's been possessed by a Magatsugami, a monster that feeds on negative emotions and basically treats her life like an all-you-can-eat buffet. Things shift when she wanders into the Better Fortune Research Organization, a school club that looks ordinary from the outside but secretly houses the Happy Seven — seven girls who each embody one of the Seven Lucky Gods. Think magical girl team, but their powers draw from actual Japanese mythology instead of generic sparkles. There's a quiet upperclassman named Kikunosuke who Amano recognizes from a strange dream, and the whole setup has this warm, low-stakes energy where the bigger conflict simmers beneath a lot of school-life comedy. It's 13 episodes from 2005, based on a light novel, with a youthful tone that never takes itself too seriously. If you liked Shugo Chara! or Binbougami ga!, the blend of luck-based powers and comedy will feel familiar but with its own flavor. The Seven Lucky Gods angle is genuinely a nice hook — each character's abilities tie directly to their deity, which gives the team dynamic more personality than your average five-girls-with-wands setup. It's a light watch, nothing overwhelming, good for when you want fantasy and school life mixed without heavy drama weighing it down.
