It's a bit funny that Zayena is still prideful and still doesn't acknowledge Kai. But the battle is a bit fast for my liking. A lot of things aren't settled yet. The story is still incomplete. Will there be a season 2?

Episode Context

As the twelfth and final episode, 'Protector of Kanae' directly follows Kai's confrontation with the formidable diabo in Episode 11, escalating that conflict to its breaking point. This finale serves as the culmination of the season's full narrative trajectory, testing everything Kai has gained across prior episodes. While it wraps the core conflict, the episode also appears to lay groundwork for potential future installments, leaving the door open rather than shutting the book entirely.
