It's a bit funny that Zayena is still prideful and still doesn't acknowledge Kai. But the battle is a bit fast for my liking. A lot of things aren't settled yet. The story is still incomplete. Will there be a season 2?

Synopsis
Stuck on the front lines of a brutal war between humans and demi-human tribes like Ogres and Ash Monkeys, Kai is a nobody soldier stationed in a backwater village called Lag. In this world, the real power belongs to guardian bearers — people blessed by Land Gods with divine crests and enough spiritual strength to make everyone else feel like cannon fodder. Kai is not one of them. He's just a guy trying not to die. Then he nearly does die, and when he comes back from the edge, he starts remembering things — knowledge from another world, one with technology and science that shouldn't exist here. It doesn't make him overpowered overnight; it just gives him a different way of thinking about survival. This 12-episode TV series from Asahi Production plays the isekai angle quieter than you'd expect. There's no truck, no summoning circle, no status screens. Just a kid in a war zone slowly realizing his mind holds something foreign, and figuring out what to do with it. The tone leans closer to Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions than anything flashy — combat has weight, death feels permanent, and nobody's having a great time. If you liked the early desperation of Re:Zero or the grounded struggle of Shield Hero's darker moments, this scratches a similar itch. The soundtrack stays understated, letting the tension do the work. It's not trying to impress you — it's trying to make you feel the dirt and the blood.
