2 new girls and a official baseball match, Tamayomi gives its first steps into proper baseball, but even though the episode is enjoyable and the match is great, the show really hurts from the quality of its art. It is really obvious the show would benefit a lot from a bigger budget that could allow animators and artists to deliver a higher quality episode that the first official match deserved.
There's a heartfelt plot going on in the episode between the characters. Unfortunately, I just can't ignore the jarring presentation to really appreciate the episode's plot. CGI can be done well, but not like this.
The animation quality totally ruined this episode for me. The mixing of CGIs was unnecessary, looking stiff and weird. The first episodes were just doing great, but when the execution was combined with CGI hint in the previous ep, it quite dropped. And in this ep, the impact of the pitching and batting looks like an otome video game.
