Aaaaaah, the baseball yuri! Okay, I know it is not really yuri, but it has enough of an enough yuri aura in my heart to be counted as one. A story about highschool girls, reencounters and most importantly, baseball. While Tamayomi has a more dated art style even for when it originally aired, it is still a very cute and enjoyable show to watch and this first episode is a good introduction for our main girls.
A solid opener episode. The question is whether the series can keep that up. It's a simple start with a feel-good premise that mixes friendship and a well known sport as a hook.
Coming from watching the first four seasons of Major, this first ep looks promising. The anime starts with a light-hearted and careful tone that introduces the characters. The OP and BGM were good, but I like the catchy and upbeat ED more. The animation was smooth, especially when the hardball was pitched—the slo-mo in midair was detailed. Somehow, I was bothered about the artwork on the characters' legs.
