Here comes the mysterious rival, a surprisingly airheaded cool hunk. His short interaction with Kanata made me blurt out a few times lmao. I suppose he's the main attraction of this episode, but the lore and world building is still insufficient to be engaging. I hope they give us more explanation soon.

This episode is honestly a great comfort watch if you enjoy mecha anime. While nothing about it feels particularly groundbreaking, everything comes together in a really satisfying way. The premise is engaging, the world is under constant threat, and there’s no shortage of memorable characters.
