This episode absolutely destroyed me. I wasn't a number one fan of Noir, but she's really grown on me as the show went on. It hurts so much that she finally realizes how much she means to Kanata.
This episode didn't need to be that long. It does so little with how much time they have. I am starting to think that they may be dragging the story. Anyway, the episode does have a progression in the plot but you can definitely skip the entire middle part or just skim through it and you'll see that this could've been a 12-minute episode. The visuals, as always, is fantastic! Pretty curious what will happen after this episode after that final scene.
The narrative pacing in this episode is executed very neatly. Studio 8-Bit successfully builds a mysterious and suspicious atmosphere in the first half, before finally exploding it into a tactical mecha battle sequence in the second half.
