I'm definitely enjoying the series, but I’m still pretty confused about what the main goal is here other than focusing to Histoire.

It's a meh episode focusing on lore dump and even filled up by some unnecessary scenes like Kanata's martial arts practice. I don't quite know how to feel about this anime since it is riddled with this scenes and is trying to do everything at once. I wouldn't say that this episode is to be skipped, but is just inadequately paced. Gonna stick around to learn more about the plot.

Unfortunately, Episode 2 feels like it has lost the massive momentum that was so well-built in the previous episode. The plot in this episode moves very slowly, dominated by contemplative dialogue and drawn-out dramatic scenes.
