this ep shrine legends encounters and this weird feeling that everything is slowly circling back around the way it ends leaves you curious without any cheap tricks, a really strong buildup before the finale dont skipping this

Not the going back in time trope in this one! This episode was very calm for being the second to last episode. We get to meet more characters and Nomari is growing up. I cannot imagine her dying!

Episode Context

Sitting one episode before the finale, Episode 23 continues the Meiji Arc that began after Jinya's time-displacement journey, deepening the fusion of historical setting and supernatural mythology that has defined this late-season stretch. Episode 22 established the Meiji-era landscape and Jinya's disorientation within it; this installment narrows the focus to a pivotal encounter that bridges the series' folklore roots with its endgame. Everything here is positioned to funnel directly into Episode 24's climax.
