The has a premise that is very similar to demon slayer. However, I feel that there is a level of horror that wasn't present in demon slayer. This was an hour long first episode that set up a strong start. I'm very excited to see where this goes.

Episode Context

As the first episode of a 24-episode run, this double-length premiere is purely foundational, it establishes the village of Kadono, its customs, and the central relationship between Jinta and Shirayuki before the series' action and supernatural elements presumably escalate. No prior context is needed here; this is your entry point. The deliberate groundwork laid in this opener signals a series that plans to earn its dramatic payoffs over two full cours.
