Slow-paced episode with mostly conversations. The tension was high at the end. There are also still too many unanswered questions. This episode focused more on the real world instead of the Underworld.

Episode Context

After four episodes establishing Kirito's journey within the Underworld alongside Eugeo, episode 5 pivots to the real-world consequences of his situation, serving as a critical bridge between the virtual narrative and the larger conspiracy driving the season. It follows directly from the momentum of 'Departure' and recontextualizes everything viewers have seen so far through Asuna's perspective. This transition sets the foundation for the dual-narrative structure that defines Alicization's first cour, building toward deeper revelations about the Soul Translator technology.
