A lot happened, and the episode included many action scenes. Kirito showcased his swordsmanship skills. I have so many questions about what happened in this episode, so it’s definitely a must-watch. And I’m so happy for Eugeo.

Episode Context

Episodes 1-3 laid the groundwork, establishing the Underworld, Kirito's circumstances, and his reconnection with Eugeo, and Episode 4 converts that setup into action by launching their journey in earnest. Sitting at the one-sixth mark of a 24-episode season, 'Departure' functions as the narrative bridge between introduction and the larger quest ahead. What follows will build directly on the trajectory and stakes established here, making this a critical momentum episode for the arc.
