EPISODE REVIEWS

Love the opening of this anime, sounds so dreamy which suits the whole vibe of the show and aesthetics. I like how this episode had a lot of chaotic moments thanks to Mythrill, makes the episode really lively. I also love watching the dynamic between Challe and Anne, sometimes it makes me squeal lol

Episode Context

Picking up directly from the premiere's establishment of Anne's quest and her uneasy arrangement with Challe, this second episode tests their fragile partnership under real pressure for the first time. It functions as the season's first major escalation point, proving the journey won't be gentle and introducing complications that feed directly into episode 3's 'The Sugar Apple Is the Tree of Betrayal,' where the themes of trust explored here take a darker turn. At episode 2 of 12, this is foundational world-building through action, setting the rules of engagement for the road ahead.
