As slow-paced as this episode was, it still managed to make me feel a lot of emotions through the scenes it presented. One moment I was shocked and surprised, and the next I was laughing. It really did a great job of setting things up for the climax of the arc.

Following the previous episode, we greeted almost immediately with a surprisingly gore combat scene and unexpected reveal, followed with Kojou and Himeragi investigating it. Pace is a bit scattered where high tension suddenly renders into a mellow one for the rest of the episode.

This ep is a total setup and the Sayaka Kirasaka vibes are carrying. We finally get the lore and character depth needed to understand the Haze-no-Koumaku arc and why the stakes are actually high.
