The episode felt short but still got its point across. I liked the focus on the character’s inner struggle, and the way it showed him starting to understand his own abilities felt like a real step forward. It didn’t need a lot of extra scenes to make the moment work. This kind of character-focused episode worked well for me.

The animation in this ep was great, especially Shoryouken. The visuals were totally different, and the elements were smoother than before. Find it funny how Ken's situation was fast-paced, with how the turn of events was. He was able to master that in just one fell swoop! So strange! That was a remake of Devil Jin right at that ending.

Quality episode - but only because of Ryu's awakening. Didn't care for the plot and Guile's backstory (I don't think we asked). And for some reason Vega (the big bad dude) just keeps giggling to himself 24/7. Man, just shut up already. If it wasn't for Ryu, this episode would be boring (it mostly was). But it passes.
