EPISODE REVIEWS

This episode took a much darker turn, and I liked how it raised the stakes without feeling too over the top. The darker tone worked well for the story and made the whole episode feel more serious. It was a good change from the usual feel of the show, and I liked seeing it go in this direction. This was one of the episodes that I enjoyed more.

This tone in this ep was unsettling but I felt somehow relieved. The BGM was nostalgic as it totally evokes the feeling of grief, manipulative, and gripping. Bison was highly inhumane with that kind of torture — disturbing and demonic. Felt bad for Fei Long upon his arrival and that was the first news he saw. Ken and the repetitive scenes of Chun Li were getting out of hand and making me frustrated.

The plot has completely derailed at this point. I think. It's just so extreme that it doesn't feel like the show I was watching several episodes ago. Those conflicts ended pretty fast but this one seems to be the main plotline. I'm sure it can get better (especially with what is hinting with Ryu and Ken) but right now it's a very different show.
