New years approach, and with it the year with longest summer for Okabe is coming to an end. But what was supposed to be a day of celebrations takes an unexpected turn. Actions have consequences, Okabe learned it with the time machine, but this time, does he even realize what actions made his world turn upside down once again?

I only realized how prominent Okabe's flashbacks and callbacks to the past were in this episode's ending. As a whole, the Christmas Party situation all over again feels like a dead giveaway too. Glad they took time to explore Yuki and Daru before doing so though. They've always felt a little undercooked.

This episode is where the sequel series starts. The cliffhanger was beautifully done, and everything leading up to episode 6 feels like anticipation building done right. It does follow the same structure as the 2011 series tough, so it may feel a little stale. Still a heck of an ending though.

The overall vibe of this episode is reminiscent of the earlier episodes of the original series. It feels sad knowing this was the future that RIntaro fought so hard for. The new characters haven't really grown on me to be honest; they feel solely like additions to drive the story forward.

quieter episode but honestly it hits different than you expect. the character stuff here adds more than it seems like it's doing. easy to underrate but you'll thank yourself later. don't skip.

The show is simply terrifying at its best. The suspense is toxic, the professor is disgusting, and everything seems to creep under your skin. I am anxious, I feel involved, and I am definitely not prepared to watch someone suffer another time.
