I love the nuance when Anya convinces Damian to meet his father after she notices Loid is somewhere close. It's really genius for her age. Also, the way Donovan talks to Loid...it feels like he knows something that Loid (or the entire WISE operation) doesn't. It gives me chills.

Anya helps Loid in his mission to approach Donovan Desmond. After all the wait Loid finally got to meet Donovan Desmond, intense atmosphere during their interaction is quite scary. But the way their conversation ends feels quite underwhelming 🫠,char development is seen in Damian

The focus stays on the Forger family dynamic, and the small interactions feel genuine and satisfying, like a reward after the previous buildup. The pacing is relaxed and comfortable, letting the episode breathe while still giving enough story progression to feel meaningful.

The episode trades overt action for tight psychological tension as Loid moves with precision while Damian and Anya quietly observe, the muted colors and sharp angles turning a school meeting into a nerve-wracking game of wits.

The episode swaps action for psychological suspense. The graphics use muted tones and dead-eyed designs to make Desmond feel inhuman. The silent, tense meeting is a high-stakes "cold war" masterpiece!

The last episode hahaha. The way Anya want to hit Damian's face again because of the insult that he did 😂 and oh boy, Desmond looks kinda scary. The way Anya picture him on her mind is too different.

This episode wraps up the season finale chaotically beautiful. Anya's little antics steal the show, and really enjoyable to watch with suspense, the epic spy moments, and heartfelt family scenes while staying true to the humor. [would watch it again 10/10]

This episode is a nice end to Season 1's Part 2. The ending really is a great hook for it. The mystery deepens especially if you've read the latest chapters of the manga.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the final episode of Part 2, 'First Contact' pays off the slow-burn buildup that defined the entire season—Twilight's infiltration of Eden Academy was always a means to reach Donovan Desmond, and this episode delivers that pivotal encounter. Following Episode 12's lighter exploration of Yor's domestic life and Anya's friendships, the tonal shift here is sharp and intentional, refocusing the narrative on the core spy mission. It serves as both a satisfying season capstone and a clear launchpad for future story developments.
