In this episode, we meet Duanmu Xi's fiancée. We also learn that Duanmu's sense of humor is a bit... peculiar, and he does something that becomes a recurring theme throughout the series: he fails to communicate with his allies. Because of this, they are unable to prepare for the impending threat.

Animation just looks a bit odd and janky, though it does its best to deliver the scenes. There's also good banter in the middle of the episode which really drew me in. As far as the narrative/plot goes, it also tries to give us as much info about the main cast's personalities through dialogue.

CN Version: Aww, Shin Shiyou (Qin Siyao) is so cute 🥰 I like that this episode explores the relationships of our three characters here. The humor is so fun lol 🤣JP Version: LMAO. KEIKA IS KI-SAMA’S WHAT?! 🤣 The servants in the Tanmoku household KNOW WHAT’S UP 😏 There's some INCREDIBLY SUS scenes and dialogue in this episode lol. I’m intrigued with the lore 🤔
