Episode Context

Coming off Episode 1 ("The Electric Boy"), which established Kihachi, Inako, and the rediscovery of the Catalog, this episode escalates that initial encounter into an active struggle over who controls the book and what it means. It marks the shift from season setup into genuine conflict, with Yosuke Mizoe's arrival adding a personal dimension that will shape character dynamics going forward. The groundwork laid here points directly toward Episode 3 ("Their Dream"), where the ambitions hinted at in these early chapters begin to take clearer shape.
