The over the top animations and expressions are hilarious. Thrilling and entertaining episode so far. All the characters have strong personalities that was easily conveyed in just two episodes. The animation is also good

Leave it to Kyoto Animation to ace every thing, its funny, its face pace, it looks amazing, the story is interesting and everything compliments with each other. I called it episode 1 and ill call it again, this is a Masterpiece and it will be the best anime this season.

I really, really loved this episode! It's getting more intriguing with every scene. And the animation? Spectacular as always! 🥹 The characters were amazing too, especially Kihachi and Inako. Though, honestly, Yosuke is freaking unhinged, and I love him for it! HAHAHA

This anime never fails to mesmerize me with its animation. 😭 And it was also hilarious—what the heck were those expressions? Lmao. I loved Kihachi and Inako's dynamic so much!

This is getting much more interesting. I loved this episode! It was chaotic and beautiful. Aaah! It really had me hooked!

That glider launch off the roof was such a cool moment and you can really see how much Kihachi cares about his brothers legacy even when he is terrified

The crane snatching that book box was so funny because Yosuke looked absolutely pathetic standing there while a bird flew off with his prize and you can already tell that guy is going to be a nightmare

I was cheering when Inako pulled out the real catalog after letting that idiot chase a fake one all day and her quick thinking really saved them when everything looked bad

Yosuke thinking the catalog is just a bunch of kids drawings is a wild twist and there has to be some secret code in those scribbles that only the brothers know

That glider escape was the coolest thing this season and seeing them soar past the factory chimneys really sold the whole steampunk setting for me

I can not believe Kihachi actually built a whole glider just to jump off a roof like that and the animation of them flying over Kyoto was so gorgeous

Inako pulling out the real catalog while they were hiding in the warehouse was such a boss move and she really saw right through Yosuke from the start

Kihachi freezing up in the dark mansion was painful to watch and seeing Inako have to guide him through the shadows was a nice reversal of the hero role

Yosuke screams about a bird stealing his book and that was the funniest thing ever and seeing that crane fly off with the fake catalog was such a great way to handle the swap

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 2 arrives immediately after the series premiere, a critical position where most drama series move from establishing tone and character into the first meaningful push of their central conflict. With the total episode count currently unconfirmed, it is difficult to map precisely where this episode lands proportionally within the season. It likely builds directly on the groundwork laid in Episode 1 and sets the emotional and narrative trajectory that will carry the show into its middle stretch.
