I luv the romance !!!

Oh, the art style and animation looked absolutely beautiful! 😭 The story also seemed interesting and promising. I already like the dynamic between the two main characters, and the first episode did a great job introducing them.

This anime is so pretty that it feels unfair, lmao. I already love it. The art and animation instantly hooked me, and some scenes genuinely felt like they belonged in a movie. The plot was intriguing too, which made the episode even better.

A great premiere episode. It does a great job of introducing both main characters and the antagonist while giving a clear glimpse of the conflict to come. The visuals are also excellent and leave a strong first impression.

If theres a studio to believe in KyoAni is the studio. I can already tell this will be the best anime of the season and might be one of the best anime for this year. Let's goo!!!!!

I actually teared up when Inako talked about her talent for believing and her face in that moment was so expressive that her optimism felt infectious

kyoani really went all out on that exhibition lighting scene because it looked like a dream and the way the bulbs just flickered to life made the future feel possible

That opening scene with the bulbs lighting up the forest was beautiful. The glow really changed the mood and you can tell why Kihachi got so hooked on electricity after seeing it

I really felt for Inako when she thought that recording was a god talking to her and then Kihachi just ruined it immediately

That magic lantern scene was so pretty and it actually made Inako stop crying for a second

The animation went all fluid while Inako was running through the streets with that black box and hopefully she finds her voice soon

Everything was going so well until that weirdo showed up and grabbed Kihachi at the end and now things are just uncomfortable

That transition from the golden light of the past to the smoky grey streets of modern Kyoto was so striking and Kihachi is already so relatable with his motion sickness

The way the lights came on at the exhibition actually made me tear up and I was not expecting this show to look so pretty right out of the gate

The contrast between Inako's spiritual side and Kihachi's focus on machines really got to me, especially when she thought the recorder was a literal god speaking to her. The scene with the Phantom Lantern was actually beautiful and it made me realize how much they both lost their mothers. That ending with the villain grabbing Kihachi was totally unexpected though
