EPISODE REVIEWS

I liked how this episode brought a different energy after the heavier ones before it. The balance between action and quieter moments worked well, and the lighter scenes helped make it feel less serious. It was a nice change of pace while still keeping the story moving. Worth checking out if you liked the mix of action and character moments.

The characters are annoying and the chapter was basically just a collection of slow almost random scenes that barely had a common thread going on. The only saving grace is the proper introduction to Emeraldas and her ties to Maetel.

This is the episode where the resistance gets a major boost. Emeraldas's arrival is a huge deal for anyone who knows the Matsumoto universe she's a legend, and she's fighting for the same cause as Nazca. The Space Panzers are a real threat, and the chase sequence is a reminder that the mechanized forces aren't going to let the rebels go quietly. Nazca's pitch to Maetel is the emotional core of the episode he's not just fighting for revenge anymore.
