the unique animation style they used to tell excalibur's backstory was so whimsical and fun. part of me actually feels a little sad that nobody wants to wield him, but he honestly deserves it. obviously a filler episode, but still a really good time.

dedicating another full episode to this obnoxious gag character is a blatant use of filler. however, the distinct visual direction taken to illustrate his past provides enough artistic merit to keep the comedic elements from feeling entirely stale.

everything that happens in this episode can be summarized in one word: stupid. the bar scene was funny, the sword is annoying, but i cannot believe excalibur actually has game and bro just casually dropping fluent english caught me so off guard
