EPISODE REVIEWS
That’s a wrap on the final episode! Visually and audibly, Kyoto Animation absolutely knocked it out of the park—the animation, graphic quality, and musical score are outstanding for a classic title. The core story concept is undeniably unique and engaging, maintaining a smooth, well-sculpted pace across its tight 9-episode run. However, the finale's resolution and character decisions feel a bit rushed, almost undercutting the hard-won efforts of everyone who fought so hard along the way. It’s far from bad, just not fully satisfying, but it still stands strong as a solid 8/10 overall!
Hm, as a finale is a bit weak. I feel it needed more action and less dialogue, Yumemi also has a weird personality switch that is kinda unearned and also doesn't stick around as she reverts back to normal-ish. The outfit change was totally unnecessary too, it just doesn't fit and feels fanservice-y. The epilogue leaves some things open for the possibility of a continuation but the important parts are closed satisfactorily.
