I stayed for the visuals but how that confession went down felt surprisingly sweet for an ova like this

Shizuku is the absolute best and that part with the water was just crazy

I really wish this was longer because how it looks is so much better than most stuff out today

The light in the pool scene looked so good because of how they animated it, and those character designs really are the biggest draw for the whole series

That nurse office scene was way more intense than expected for a DVD special

listening to the rain in the background during the opening scene made the atmosphere feel way more cozy than expected

it feels like a lost media piece almost since no one talks about it but the gym teacher scene was surprisingly well animated

i grew up watching these older titles and seeing asa again in this second special brought back so many memories of that specific 2000s art style, which i think looks better than digital stuff today, even if the story is basically nonexistent and just focuses on the fanservice parts in the gym storage room and the school infirmary

pretty standard stuff for an ero special but it fills the gaps if you like the main characters enough and need more content

that classic green bunny aesthetic really shines during the shower scene and the voice acting was actually pretty good for a dvd extra

the bonus art at the end was better than the actual episode for me because it felt way too short

i actually liked the pool scene more than the main ova because the lighting and water effects were so detailed for an old special

kazuhiro and asa in the empty classroom was actually crazy and the art holds up way better than the modern stuff they put out now

the character designs are so nostalgic, especially the way they draw the eyes and the hair during the school rooftop scene

the flow of the scenes felt a bit disjointed compared to the first episode and there needed to be more plot but the animation is still decent

That ending with Kazuha was so sweet and it really showed why people love this specific era of anime art style so much

Itsumi being so dense is usually annoying but the payoff in the water scenes felt earned and looked great

Focusing on the dynamic between Itsumi and the sisters made this special feel much more complete than the previous parts did, and I really liked how the music shifts during the more intimate moments. It makes it feel way more nostalgic for the old school fans and the animation on Asa in that one specific sequence was actually surprisingly fluid too.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the second and final episode of this short-form series, this installment carries the full weight of closure. The first episode established the triangular dynamic between Asa, Natsume, and Hajime, laying the emotional groundwork; this episode follows through on those threads, pushing the trio toward a moment of reckoning as summer fades. There is nothing after this — what resolves here is the entirety of what the series has to say.
