Someday's Dreamers II: Sora
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Get ready for a second magical journey to the world of Someday's Dreamers, where spellcasting is a profession that requires both the proper training AND a license. It's to get that license and fulfill a promise made to her late father that young Sora Suzuki has made the long journey from her distant home in the countryside town of Biei to the big city of Tokyo. It's a daunting challenge, but she's got a little bit of talent, a charming personality and, most important of all, the promise of an internship! What she ISN'T expecting, though, is how different life in the city will be, especially the people themselves. While she gets along with the confident Asagi, Kuroda and the gentle Hiyori, she's completely confused with the mysterious boy Gouta. And yet, as a result of their internships they keep ending up in the same situations and slowly learning to understand more about each other than they ever imagined possible!

It’s a lovely anime that truly shows us everyday life, but with a touch of magic. I would have loved a different ending for Gouta and Sora, but well, you can’t always get what you want. Sora remains pure, happy, and sensitive until the end. I loved her character because she’s shown as a girl who just wants to help others—I don't know, her empathy for everyone managed to connect with me through the screen, and it definitely connected with Gouta too. PS: I hope Kuroda was able to graduate, haha!
The episode went by so fast for me. Truth be told, it's a pretty quiet moment without intense emotions compared to the previous episode. Sora seems like such a sweet girl, and I like her pairing with Gouta. I really hope they get a happy ending. I'd also add that in this chapter, we see all the other mages along with their teachers and instructors. It's a full-circle moment, and I think the anime managed to tell a very well-structured story so far—from their beginnings as mages all the way to their graduation—so that's great.
Walaupun agak too much ya dia ke clientnya wkwkwk.
What a plot twist, everyone!! I completely agree with my fellow reviewer—if the previous episodes were calm, this one turns everything upside down. With the information we get here, those moments where Sora suddenly felt unwell now make complete sense. You can also really appreciate how much Gouta cares about her. Gouta has had incredible character development throughout the anime. An episode fully worth watching. It leaves you truly wondering what episodes 11 and 12 will be like—a happy ending or a sad one? Time to keep watching!
A slower-paced episode, given that it's the typical beach episode, but featuring something I had been expecting for a few episodes now and knew would happen right from the start. Sora and Gouta get much closer, ALTHOUGH it feels a bit odd to me because sometimes they don't seem that happy together, but then they do. I'm not sure if it's because of their facial animations or their individual personalities. If you're not really into teenage crush drama and romance, it might be better to skip this episode.
A group activity where everyone gets to put their magic to the test, even Gouta-kun, who made major progress thanks to Sora-chan's help. I think this episode shows how much these young wizards have grown since episode 1, not just in their abilities, but also in the bond and friendship they’ve been strengthening throughout the series. They don't seem like kids anymore—they look much more mature mentally, too. I really enjoyed the episode. c:
Mmm, I feel like what happened to Sora in this episode came way too out of nowhere. They didn't give us any setup for it, and when it happened, it felt kind of weird—like they didn't need her in those scenes, so they just made up a quick excuse, lol. On the other hand, I completely understand Kuroda's decision in this episode, and Asagi's attitude toward him when he approached her to talk annoyed me a bit. Damn, have a little patience, Asagi, will you? It's super obvious that girl has a tsundere personality. At least this episode doesn't feel like filler like the previous one.
I got a bit bored with this episode since it felt like filler. It was mostly just Sora forming and strengthening her bonds with her new mage friends, but nothing beyond that. Something interesting happened with Gouta in this episode, but unfortunately, it wasn't explored further—it was just a brief glimpse of what might be coming in the next one.
I don't like how hard Sora-chan can be on herself sometimes, but on the bright side, her instructor brings her back down to earth so her perfectionism doesn't turn into an obsession with making everything flawless for the clients' requests. On the other hand, it seems like our Gouta-kun is softening up and starting to talk more with the people around him.
