First half of episode contains flashbacks and they’re important. We always assume humans fight Kaiju. But who knew there’s also human vs human with Kaiju on their side. Enemy development. Not usual Kaiju. Makes fights more intense. Ends with a cliffhanger.

Such a cheap drama mate... 2nd rate akatsuki villain imho, i can't relate at all with the megalomaniac villain.

Some filler content.

Comedic villainy just like joker, but with less emotional attachment to give.

Snowball Earth turns into a full psychological showdown. Sagami’s jealousy-driven breakdown makes the episode intense and uncomfortable in a good way. The action is mostly setup, but the eerie vibe, frozen atmosphere, and unstable villain keep it engaging throughout. I also love the opening song, it sets the mood perfectly and makes you want to keep watching. I’m hooked on every episode.

This episode focuses on the villain Sagami and his backstory, and he’s really petty. The stakes rise, but not much happens since most of the episode is just talking in one place. Lots of new characters are introduced too, though they barely get any screen time.

Feels like the series is planting seeds for better future episodes rather than delivering a standout one itself. Overall this episode is a solid setup but not especially memorable on its own. A lot happens, but not much gets enough time to breathe. 💀

The Mishima Mall attack at least raises the stakes beyond just Tetsuo and Yukio. It’s one of the first times the story really reminds you innocent people are caught in the middle of these fights. That said, the side cast still feels a little underdeveloped :3

This episode introduces human enemies and kaiju tamers, which should feel huge, but the execution is kinda rushed 😭 Sagami’s jealousy toward Tetsuo is understandable, but his obsession comes off more edgy than emotionally deep right now

Sagami is literally a grown man throwing a tantrum because a nine year old kid took his job. Seeing him groom those poor kids into psychic pilots just to spite Tetsuo is actually nauseating

The reveal that the world was already frozen before the space war ended has me questioning everything and I need to know why the timeline is so messed up because it changes the whole premise of the invasion

My heart actually broke seeing Yukio glitching out while the Snowman was being torn apart and I hate that Sagami is just standing there laughing while Tetsuo is losing the only family he has left

That part where Sagami turned those kids into psychic weapons was so messed up and seeing how they were brainwashed in the flashback made it even worse

I really hated seeing Sagami stand over the wreckage of Snowman like that and his jealousy is just on another level compared to most villains

EPISODE CONTEXT

Arriving directly after 'Good Job!' — an episode defined by achievement — this installment uses that high point as a launching pad for new instability, signaling that the series is entering a more complex phase. Episode 6 introduces threats that are personal rather than external, reshaping the group's internal dynamics heading into the back half of the season's first act. It connects directly to Episode 7, 'The Cost of Courage,' suggesting the consequences set in motion here will force the protagonists into difficult moral reckoning.
