Di episode ini, kita akhirnya mengetahui kebenaran di balik alasan mengapa Bumi diselimuti salju. Meskipun episode ini berusaha membuat sang musuh terlihat lebih simpatik dengan menjelaskan latar belakang dan alasannya, aku tetap tidak bisa menyukainya. Bagiku, dia masih terasa seperti seorang manbaby. Aku suka detail kecil saat Tetsuo memarahi musuh, Tetsuo tetap tidak menatap matanya secara langsung. Overall, episode yang bagus tetapi pacingnya lambat

The reveal at the end had me staring at the screen like I missed three episodes worth of lore. Pretty slow episode though,

Most unexpected character development speedrun ever. Made the episode kinda boring

Tetsuo really defeated a world-ending threat and then immediately started a therapy session. Bro switched from mech pilot to licensed counselor in 0.2 seconds LMAOOO so funny

I felt sick watching Sagami clean his own vomit while his parents ignored him. It explains why he became such a monster but it still makes me hate him for crashing those ships

Giving Sagami the savior title felt wrong after he crashed those ships and froze the entire planet. Ashita is way too kind to a guy who turned everyone into ice statues

It makes me so mad that Ashita actually gave him the title after everything Sagami did because that guy is a literal mass murderer who froze the whole planet

trying to make the audience pity a guy who crashed a whole space station feels like a massive stretch and no amount of sad flashbacks can change that

That finishing blow staining the snow red is such a brutal visual and it really sets the tone for the sad reveal about the eld-go ships

I found the parallel between Ashita and Sagami very moving because they both lost their childhoods to this savior ideal, even if one became a monster. The scene where Ashita offers to give up his title felt like a massive turning point for his character and it really emphasized how much of a burden that role has been for him

you can tell the writers are self aware about the animation quality when they have the characters talking about the cgi right in the middle of the episode

my chest actually hurt seeing little Sagami cleaning the floor while sick and it makes his obsession with being seen feel so much more grounded
