The contras between this episode and the previous one is mind blowing. Applause to the writers for writing such beautiful frienship only to crush us with this episode. This was heartbreaking, and it's even sadder when we knew the seed was planted episodes ago, with small comments and passing moments. And it hurts more because it feels human of what Reki felt about Langa. This definitely set the tone for the rest of the show.

Damn Langa has improved so much since the beginning, It's really satisfying seeing how far he's come in terms of skills. Adam's entrances are always ridiculously dramatic lol, but the way he treats his secretary is honestly so frustrating to watch :/

The one showed the raw, real aspect of friendships, and true ones are where things cannot always be 100% intact. There are bound to be some struggles, ups and downs, and this episode doesn’t shy away from how that sometimes makes things awkward or messy.

Honestly this anime is giving some either good character development and/or backstory.

Funny moments as usual🤣

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting just past the midpoint at episode 7 of 12, this is the emotional pivot of the season. The Reki-Langa dynamic, which showed cracks in episode 6, fractures openly here, establishing the core internal conflict that will drive the back half of the series. With a tournament looming in episode 8, this slower, introspective chapter builds the personal stakes that will make every future race feel like it carries real emotional consequence.
