This episode is rather heartbreaking considering Kikuhiko and Sukeroku finally parted ways despite being comrades from the start, and the former breaking up with Miyokichi. This episode is great but is rather unsettling given all that happened.

This one feels quiet but emotional. Kikuhiko takes a big step in his career, but it clearly costs him something important. You can see the gap growing between him and the others. Their decisions really stick with you, making you want to keep watching to see what happens next.

Love story was about to break, Friends got apart. Dialogues were too emotional and scenes were heart breaking . I felt bad for Miyokichi. soundtracks made episode more serious.
