The gap between Kikuhiko (Bon) and Sukeroku (Shin) are widening, especially with Kikuhiko now questioning his purpose with rakugo, but him eventually showing development for his own self makes me excited to see even further.

Feels more personal. Kikuhiko starts questioning why he even does rakugo, and you can feel that struggle. The flashbacks add a lot to his character. When he finally performs in his own way, it’s subtle but really meaningful. I love this anime story progression.

This episode showed the difference, how reserved and perfect Kikuhiko was and how natural, lively Sukeroku was. confident levels between them was not only the point for tension but feeling of competition was felt.
