The humor is well-balanced against the exhaustion, making the team feel like a genuine group of high school friends learning to trust one another. It's a highly necessary, character-driven breather that perfectly bridges the gap between their rough start and the massive challenges waiting for them ahead.
Training day has commenced and the countdown to their first qualifying match is drawing near! The bonding among teammates will definitely help them play better together in the long run. The opening shot of the school is beautiful, but these off brand models they use are killing the vibe of even the most mundane of scenes, I wish the animators would either ax the 3D models, or at the very least improve models.
The training camp was fun, yet not much can be said for this episode. It felt like a filler episode before a start of something big. The pace was just ordinary, nothing special happened. Though, it's also nice to see a different side of the characters that we rarely saw in the usual serious settings.
