The episode didn’t explain the current situation very well but basically, they got deeper into the Mini Asura Hell and learned more about Sakurai’s story. That said, it’s hard not to feel disappointed after watching this episode. The pacing is rushed towards the final episodes, mainly because the series made sure it adapted the entire 29 chapters of the manga. As a result, many important details, character moments, and story developments were condensed or the studio deemed it wasn't necessary to adapt. Fortunately, the story continues in Shaman King: The Superstar, so there’s still more to come. If you can't wait for the anime adaptation, why not jump straight to the manga? 😉
