Lain walks towards the gunman. Everyone else ran. That slow walk is the most unsettling thing in the episode. She says one sentence and he breaks completely. Layer 02 is when you realize this show isn't going to explain itself, and that's the point.

Lain is a little cutie who has the survival instinct of a goldfish. That feeling of sinking horror at the end of the episode as I realize... she still has to go to school tomorrow. Scary stuff. Can't wait to watch more.

Things start getting creepier real quick. The Wired concept feels heavier now and Lain acting different hits subtle but strong. Still slow pacing, not gonna lie, but the tension keeps building nicely 👁️
