Sentenced to Be a Hero Episode 3
⚡ ALL REVIEWS
The third episode exposes the emotional toll of being sentenced to be a hero. The character dynamics between the heroes, knights, and the common folk come to a point where personal prejudices have to be set aside to survive in this situation.
Amazing Episode, this anime delivers animation quality, storytelling, captivating characters and emotional moments since episode 1 but episode 3 made it even better. The dinamic between every hero, normal people and to a certain extent, the Knights makes every episode a trill.
Fighting while protecting civilians are the hardest thing to do. Great character development and nice pacing
This episode continues the story and ramps up the action. The Heroes Squad’s combat skills really shine, and the episode highlights the extreme lengths some will go to protect others. Stakes feel higher, teamwork is on full display, and the story keeps building momentum.
One of a hell episode. His Majesty is crazy... crazy for a good cause. I love the speech, how the trust builds up, and the guts of all the characters—minor or major—from this episode. The animation is good as usual; I can't get enough of how great it is. A great wrap up episode.
That's one good closure for the introductory arc. This episode ended with wholesome scene. Little by little, they are also mentioning the lore of their abilities. Side characters were also fire and can't wait for the others to appear!
Xylo is currently operating at "Maximum Edgelord" levels, and comparing him to Naofumi is actually a great shout—except Naofumi's cynicism was a defense mechanism to survive, whereas Xylo’s edge feels like a jagged blade he’s trying to cut the whole world with.
The fighting scenes were so intense, especially the choreography, graphics and heroes' abilities. There were also thrilling, exciting and comforting events. Teoritta's entrance was cool, and just in time. This is a must-watch that it will build another story for Episode 4.
Awesome action with some pretty heart warming ending
Saving all those trapped people even with the known traps? That's the quality of the true heroes, I'd say! How can all of those people not see? I love how hardcore his majesty is.
Continuing their mission to save the trapped miners, they found themselves cornered as large numbers of faeries surrounded them.
Respect to the Majesty! He might sound crazy all the time but man, he is dead serious in combat.
Norgalle & Tatsuya carried this episode for me. this episode went Bloody, a really good Bloodbath fight. This also shows how Heroes, despite being criminals, are seen as disposable super soldiers. Unexpected turnabouts and Lotus is one hell of a beast to fight. IT'S SO PEAK!
Episode 3 excels by humanizing Unit 9004. Norgalle’s noble sacrifice and Tatsuya’s hollowed soul highlight the grim cost of immortality, the battle against the humanoid Demon Lord Lotus is amazing. while Studio Kai’s visceral animation exposes the state's deep-seated corruption.
So far the most brutal episode of the series. During the fight with the Demon Lord Lotus, we see all of the heroes stand out, showcasing each of their strange yet captivating personalities. Animation is very pleasant to watch, which only enhances the brutality of the series.
this episode shows how far the animation is willing to go in gore
