Scissor Seven (2021)

And that's a wrap for this season! So far, I really like the direction that they were going for this, especially having Thirteen as the leading character here instead of your boy, and it does build up to her character along with Seven in that they both gained some sort of vindication to their inner beliefs which was the theme of this episode. There's probably a lot to talk about like the fights, the flashy action, the lore, and whatnot, but I feel like this entire episode was more internal or personal in a characterization sense than the usual fights that you get to see in this show and I really appreciate that they leaned in on that, instead of having some big bombastic fight at the finale. Overall, I will probably watch the movie after this as it's been fun for me so far.

Pretty good episode and is a lot more darker than the previous ones like around the earlier parts of it. Full on intense battles after battles compared to the more comical side of the show and the tone is somewhat consistent with how dire things have gotten for Seven. Though it is balanced well with a more melancholic and bittersweet moment to where the episode takes its break from the fights, but adds a lot more layers to Seven's current issue and why he does what he does now compared to his previous assassin identity. Overall, very good episode.

The fights and the stakes get better and better as the season progresses, and since we are pretty much in the climax arc for this season, things are getting more and more intense all of a sudden. The current fight for this episode is much more brutal especially for Seven as he's taking on the more stronger assassins in Xuanwu and he's definitely struggling for it, and more of them are coming soon. I've been kind of enjoying the latter episodes more and more which is a different vibe for me, since the earlier parts of this season I wasn't really that fond of. Now I'm getting kind of hooked and am used to how the characters and story go.

The season gradually gets better and better, and I've been a lot more accustomed to the Chinese type of humor that I kind of overlooked which is a shame since I've watched Kung Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer, etc... before so I feel ashamed for not getting used to it in the first place lol. That said, I actually did enjoy the episode and the 2 bodyguard characters have the character design that I really enjoy looking at. The fight scenes are good, and the humor gets funnier, along with the show finally starting to amp up with the climax of the story. Can't wait to see what's next in store.

In terms of visuals, this is probably one of the best fights they've had so far, especially with the mechanical aesthetic behind it as it reminds me of Genos from One Punch Man. That said, it felt like the pacing was just too quick for me which I do get why because of the shorter run time, but still there's like a heavy emotional or mood whiplash that you get from comical introduction to the serious fight. The tone just heavily shifts from one thing to another which kind of makes it funny in a way, yet also makes the episode go by really quick. Lots of lore unveiled though and there's a bit of progression happening and I can't wait what's next.

It is kind of like the other previous episode where Seven drifts off to a different island or country and shenanigans happen in between. That said, this was somewhat an entertaining episode that gives out more context and history between Seven and Dachun's friendship and surprisingly, there's some development happening with an ending that feels melancholic to me. Overall, it was an enjoyable episode with nothing too special happening.

This episode does kind of feel like a filler episode to me, but I feel like having a break of pace away from the main character is a good thing in terms of storytelling. There's really not much that I can say about this episode besides that the fights are for sure a lot more humorous when it comes to Dachun being the center of the conflict besides Eleven. That said, there are some characterization being shown here from both Eleven and Dachun that I quite enjoy. It's a fun watch but time flies so fast just watching this episode.

There's been like some hiccups that I've gone through recently and I goofed up but that's besides the point. I actually did like this episode surprisingly enough in that it wasn't grandiose or an extravagant type of episode, but more so a chill and cozy one at that. I finally kind of understood how its comedy goes, and some of the scenes in this episode were legit funny to me in a nostalgic familiar, or cultural way that you only get to understand once you dig deeper or go outside your own box. That said, nothing to say too much about this episode beside the fact that it's cozy, and isn't really a big progression to the story as far as I can tell. Still one of the best episodes that I ended up enjoying, and yes the fights look good.

I feel like it's a lot better than the previous episode, though I do kind of get what type of humor they're going for, but sometimes the pacing gets too fast for me and I think that they ham it out for too much that the comedy just doesn't deliver as good as I hope it to be. Still, I think this episode is a good progression yet somewhat of a slowdown to things. Still nothing to say much about the entire episode to be honest as it's still not hitting well for me.

This was very intense. The fight scenes were really cool to watch, the villain was awesome and had an interesting power, and the visuals were incredible. The way it ended was really hype, and I'm excited for the next season.

Good episode. The interactions between Seven and Thirteen were pretty sweet. There was more action at the start, followed by mostly talking and exposition, which was still good. The visuals and soundtrack at the end were especially great.

This was probably the most epic and visually stunning fight scene so far in the show. I like how unique and creative the fight was and how epic and intense it felt from start to finish. It's also cool to see more recurring characters.

Tons of action, great animation, and lots of funny moments. The character designs are pretty funny. I like how every one of them is connected to a character from the past, making the world feel more alive.
